Products introduction
The Telomere-to-Telomere (T2T) genome aims to achieve a comprehensive genome assembly from telomere to telomere. In contrast to conventional genomes, the T2T genome utilizes a combination of long-read sequencing technologies (PacBio HiFi and Nanopore ultra-long) and Hi-C technology to ultimately obtain more complete, continuous, and accurate assembly results. The gold-standard T2T genome significantly bolsters research in genomics by providing robust support for studying genome structure, evolutionary history, functional traits, and expanding possibilities within the field.
Technology roadmap
Application direction
(1)Segmental duplication and variation research
The T2T genome can identify more SDs that were previously not successfully assembled.
(2)Research on genes located near centromere
The T2T genome enables the exploration of functional genes near centromere.
(3)Functional gene identification & genetic variation analysis
The T2T genome can identify more new genes and genetic variation information.
(4)Epigenetic research
The ONT sequencing advantage enables the direct acquisition of base modification information, facilitating comprehensive investigations into the methylation status within centromere regions.
(5)Centromere diversity research
Utilizing the ONT ultra-long sequencing advantage illuminates the genomic "dark matter", offering a comprehensive analysis of centromere information across species.
